Chinese Lanterns
I love chinese Lanterns!! They remind me of romance, fairytales and making wishes. Everything and anything enchanted and dream-like has always inspired me. So these lanterns really blow my mind!
This is the history behind the Chinese Lantern...A long time ago (3rd Century BCE) the Chinese developed Kongming Lanterns commonly know as, Sky lanterns, as signals for war or enemies approaching. Now, many Asian cultures have adopted the lanterns for wishing, by writing their wishes on the lanterns or as a form of “release”, by writing their concerns or problems and watching them fly away. The custom is poetic and beautiful and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate whatever you are going through in your life than gathering together with a large group of loved ones under a lantern lit sky. Sigh...and they say fairytales aren't real, they obviously haven't seen a sky like this :) Kisses G x x x

Pinterest Photo Of The Day.
Some days I long to be a gypsy. I long to be this carefree girl lying in silence, in the golden grass, with the sun soaking into her skin and nature engulfing her. This picture makes my heart smile.
Thought For The Day.
The mind is a very strong weapon. With positive thoughts and a happy, relaxed attitude you can solve or conquer anything. Don't over think, don't stress over things that are out of your control...leave it to the universe your answer will come soon enough. Trust in Karmic Synergy.
Welcome Summer.
Summer is almost here :) Yay!!! I love no other season like I love Summer. I can not wait for beach days, the heat of the sun on my skin, bright colours, the smell of suntan oil and ocean breezes. Sigh, summer, after winter is like a happy dream. Yay, Summer I welcome you, come quickly and linger longer. x o x o
Take Me To The Sea.
I have a new obsession...anchors, the sea, sailors and basically anything nautical. So when I found these beautiful little anchor pendants I nearly lost my mind with excitement! I really, really want!!! The last one is my favorite. Aren't they lovely! G x
Protea Love.
I love proteas, they are so unusually beautiful. I also love them because they are a national symbol for South Africa, and that makes me very proud. Did you know the protea was named after a Greek god Proteus. Proteus can foretell the future, but he will change his shape and form to avoid having to do this. He will answer only to someone who is capable of capturing him. Pretty cool little story hey? :) G

Happy Friday!!!
It's the weekend baaaaaaaaby! Wishing you all a sunny, happy, laughter filled, relaxing, giddy, insane, fun, memorable, shooting star sort of weekend. I must say I have got a busy one planned, so will see you on Monday. Mwa G
*Wishes...
I love this quote! I simply had to post it. I am forever wishing on shooting stars, eyelashes and dandelions...so this seemed appropriate. Hee hee :) G
Doggie Fun
I love my doggies more than anything. They are kind of like my babies. So obviously they are spoilt rotten and are complete brats :) How cute are some of these doggie accessories I found. I adore the little bow-tie collar! It is too cute and super cool! And the ball mustache! How cleaver. Know my little pooches would love all of these and they would definitely be the coolest dogs in the park! Too cute. G
My babies :) Honey and Coco. x x x

Poem For The Day.
Backyard - Charles Rafferty
The clouds have ripped a little.
A knee of stars presses down
on my throat. The sky, low
and confused, keeps moving
to conceal the moon. The next town
over, sirens are gathering
to a sustained howl. Here
the horizon is leafless —
a blueprint of trees superimposed
on my wild weather. In another minute
that knee will kneel
on a different neck. I choke
until it drifts like steeple music
back to its many bells.
