Things I Love Today.

Quote Of The Day.

Girly Humor :)

Poem For The Day.

Come Closer – Joan Wiese Johannes

Heavy air wanders
around the corner of the barn
bends into evening
and staggers through the peonies

to meet me under the porch light
where dizzy moths flit
and midges swarm
around the naked bulb.

Tonight I wonder why
I once thought love darkens
too soon in June
when days are too long

and nights too eagerly late,
when stems grow spindly
weak from
too much too fast too soon.

A night-blooming blossom
luminous as the moon
reminds me of something
I should have done.

Artist Sandra Dieckmann

This artist is amazing! Her technique and work really appeals to me. Sandra Dieckmann is a freelance illustrator who lives in East London. Her work mainly evolves around nature and wildlife and is inspired by all that embodies childhood stories and half remembered fairytales, giving each piece an earthy deep-rooted feeling of forests and mystery. Her work eternally explores and expresses her personal love for drawing the creatures that roam this planet. I adore her simple yet highly detailed technique. Line has a large part in her work as she plays with various textures of line and each piece is highly outlined. I love the simply use of colour and the sytlised geographic shapes. Her work is amazing! G

Chinese Lanterns

I love chinese Lanterns!! They remind me of romance, fairytales and making wishes. Everything and anything enchanted and dream-like has always inspired me. So these lanterns really blow my mind!

This is the history behind the Chinese Lantern...A long time ago (3rd Century BCE) the Chinese developed Kongming Lanterns commonly know as, Sky lanterns, as signals for war or enemies approaching. Now, many Asian cultures have adopted the lanterns for wishing, by writing their wishes on the lanterns or as a form of “release”, by writing their concerns or problems and watching them fly away. The custom is poetic and beautiful and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate whatever you are going through in your life than gathering together with a large group of loved ones under a lantern lit sky. Sigh...and they say fairytales aren't real, they obviously haven't seen a sky like this :) Kisses G x x x

Pinterest Photo Of The Day.

Some days I long to be a gypsy. I long to be this carefree girl lying in silence, in the golden grass, with the sun soaking into her skin and nature engulfing her. This picture makes my heart smile.

Thought For The Day.

The mind is a very strong weapon. With positive thoughts and a happy, relaxed attitude you can solve or conquer anything. Don't over think, don't stress over things that are out of your control...leave it to the universe your answer will come soon enough. Trust in Karmic Synergy.

Welcome Summer.

Summer is almost here :) Yay!!! I love no other season like I love Summer. I can not wait for beach days, the heat of the sun on my skin, bright colours, the smell of suntan oil and ocean breezes. Sigh, summer, after winter is like a happy dream. Yay, Summer I welcome you, come quickly and linger longer. x o x o
