Meat Glue Horror!

Oh my goodness, it's days like these I am so happy to be a vegetarian. This is just plain wrong, what is the world coming to.

This meat glue (that is not at all new on the market) is used on off-cuts of meat, chicken and fish to stick together any small pieces and scraps of meat and pass them off as steak. This becomes almost impossible for a consumer to detect. Banned in the EU, thrombian, or transglutaminase (TG) (aka "meat glue") is a concern not just because the producers are misrepresenting what they are selling (a "steak" may be an amalgamation of meat from a whole bunch of animals and can be soled at a much higher price), but because there are serious health risks associated with consuming mixed meats and meat glue. Check out the You Tube video, it is truly shocking.

It is so appalling to me how the meat industry just keeps morphing into an even more vile, horror show, with each day that passes. Just when you think things can't get worst, more cruel, more disgusting and more unhealthy it surprises you with something even more shocking than one could not even comprehend. Sigh...it saddens me that our society has come to this.
